Constellation work operates through a mysterious yet profound phenomenon: the field of resonance that exists between individuals and their systems of belonging.
When an issue is brought into the circle, there is a resonance set up between the individual, their system of belonging (e.g. their family), and the participants of the workshop who agree to represent members of that system.
These representatives become like human tuning forks, sensing and expressing the hidden dynamics within the system that the individual cannot readily access.
At the same time, the system, which is held by the individual subconsciously, comes into conscious awareness in the room. With sensitivity, this allows understanding and compassion.
This process ultimately enables transformation, not unlike the core Buddhist path of awakening (bodhi) – bringing what was hidden into the light of awareness and compassion.
The transformation that occurs in Constellation work bears a striking resemblance to the Buddhist path of awakening, known as bodhi.
Just as Buddhist practice brings unconscious patterns into conscious awareness through mindful observation and compassion, Constellation work illuminates the hidden dynamics of family systems, allowing healing through understanding and acceptance.
"With sensitivity, this allows understanding, compassion, and ultimately transformation, not unlike the core Buddhist path of awakening."
We carry unconscious loyalties to our systems of belonging, often taking on burdens that don’t originate with us.
Ancestral trauma that couldn’t be processed at the time seeks healing through descendants.
Systems have their own intelligence and seek balance, often through surprising pathways.
When hidden dynamics are brought to light with compassion, both individual and system can find freedom.
